Sugar

In the world sugar production is approximately 145 million tons, with more than one hundred sugar producing countries, of which the most important are India, Brazil and the European Union.

Most of the production of sugar in the world is consumed in the countries of origin, with about 25% of trade in the world market. The five largest exporters are Brazil, EU, Australia, Cuba and Thailand, which supply about 70% of exports from free trade.
